Book

WARNING: You shouldn’t read this book if…
- The idea of having to read a feature-length book (208 pages as a pdf, over 300 in regular book format) makes you want to punch a dolphin in the liver;
- You are as interested in learning what the stock market is, how it works and what makes it tick as you are in getting mugged by a homeless astronaut;
- You have as much intentions to be able to tell whether a stock is on its way to becoming the next Google, Apple or whatever other behemoth stock as you are in giving your ex mother-in-law a foot massage;
- The idea of knowing how to choose, open and use an online brokerage account as well as to reduce the amount of taxes you will have to pay on your profits makes you want to strangle an ostrich;
- Knowing where and how to find stocks to invest in as well as resources to keep up to date on them all makes you want to drive your Corolla of a cliff;
- Portfolio management strategies that allow you to mitigate risk as much as logically possible while still allowing you to maximize the potential for profits sounds as enticing as being savagely beaten by a sack of potatoes
- You equate getting something for free right now that’s going to be sold at stores later on the level of herpes;
- And mixing humor with ‘serious’ topics makes you sad.

I just finished reading your book and I have to say – WOW!!! I enjoyed the light hearted, sarcastic, fun writing style to deal with otherwise “dry” information. Most importantly, I walked away with an understanding and motivation to research a stock and purchase one or two. Thank you for writing and I look forward to reading future publications.
Great “back to the basics” for beginners and 20 plus year professionals. Invaluable information and tons of fun to read!
Several comments have been left for your review. But I can honestly say I HAD NO INTENTIONS OF ALLOCATING OVER 10 MINUTES ON YOUR WORK, HOWEVER, YOU GOT ME HOOKED ON YOUR PRACTICAL ADVICE THAT I NEED TO HEAR OVER AND OVER AGAIN. YOUR WRITING STYLE AND SENSE OF HUMOR KEPT ME ON THIS COMPUTER FOR OVER 3 HOURS, CONVENIENTLY ALLOWING ME TO PUT OFF THE WORK I ORIGINALLY CAME FOR. YOU COULD BOTTLE THIS STUFF UP AND MAKE A FORTUNE.
SORRY FOR SOUNDING LIKE A BROWN-NOSER BUT I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE MATERIAL AND HOW YOU PRESENTED IT. AS A SIDE, I HATE TYPING E-MAILS AND THIS IS THE LONGEST ONE I HAVE WRITTEN IN 10 YEARS.
PS. I’M HOPELESSELY STUCK ON 8 PRECIOUS METAL JUNIOR MINING STOCKS THAT I’M INTIMATELY FAMILIAR WITH AND A’M HOPING TO TURN $150000 INTO $2,000,000. WISH ME GOOD FORTUNE AND I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOMEDAY!
SINCERELY,

This humorous (but dead-on) approach to money-management is the best on the web. Thank you! I’m going to use this as part of my high school finance curriculum. Keep up the good work!
to be completly honest i was very offput by the humor of your book at first, i found it to be inappropriate for the subject matter and simply not funny in many cases. but then i kept reading and i have to admit that this has been one of the best books i have ever read on the stock market by a long shot. not only was it enjoyable to read (ocne i got ‘used to’ the humor) but it was able to clear up what i once thought were impossible to understand concepts with your easy to follow guides, metaphors and examples. thank you!!
From now on this will be the book that I will recommend to new investors who are interested in getting into stocks. Excellent introduction, even better guides on how to valuate stocks. Never seen anything like it before. Great stuff!
I enjoyed the first half of the book that dealt with general market theory, you did a good job of explaining all of those concepts. However I found the second part drab, too much number crunching for me.
Never knew it was possible to laugh so hard while learning so much
I don’t use a “social” website. Is it still possible to get your book?
Thanks!

Of course! Emailed you a copy…
Most of the book is great, however, part 3 was absolutely phenomenal, where you go into great detail how to evaluate a company. I have never seen any guide go into that much detail before and yet not overburden the reader with too much information, so I commend you for that. Not to mention, so entertaining!
So far only half way through but enjoying it immensely! Thank you for demistifying this complicated subject and making it so very interesting to follow…am def gaining the confidence i need to start investing
Wow, what a great book, just fabulous, I have no words to describe how awesome I think your writing style is. And for free?? are you effin’ kidding me??? What’s in there for you? confess!! Nice, excellent book, great blog, you have from this day on a regular reader, so keep posting!!!
Great book lots of material and great source of knowledge, you could honestly read this book in a couple hours and be ready to invest for life. Keep up the good work and grow this site!!
